安危主席发表新年祝词
12月22日，我会在西安渭水园举办圣诞联欢晚会，20多名常务理事欢聚一堂，共贺新年。安危主席发表新年祝词[全文附后]，马珂秘书长汇报“六大”以来三个月的工作，秘书处还为这次聚会排练了独唱，小合唱，三句半等精彩节目，大家对STA2008年的前景充满期待，因公务不在西安的常务理事均发来短信或打电话表示恭贺。
安危主席的中英文祝词全文如下：
New Year Message 2008
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The past year has been a time of achievement, progress, and renewed hope for the STA members. By carrying forward the STA spirit of learning, serving and bringing up new people, we continued our common efforts in bridging different cultures and peoples by teaching, training, interpreting and translating in different fields.
The past year has become another mile stone in the STA history. We have successfully convened the 6th Congress and the international symposium on wheels. We have undertaken the spontaneous interpreting for three international conferences, reorganized a number of sub-committees, published a number of books by our members, etc.
On the eve of Christmas, the Chinese Christmas and the New Year's Day, I am hereby to extend my warm congratulations to every one of you for your great achievement in 2007 and my sincere thanks to every one of you for all you have done for STA.
Everyone expects the New Year to confer on him peace, happiness and prosperity. New Year does not bring happiness or sorrow with it. Yesterday is the same as today and today is the same as tomorrow. Days are the same, but one experiences either pleasure or pain depending on one's own actions.
STA is a spiritual homestead, a place of freedom, equality, democracy, and mutual respect, help, understanding and tolerance. Let’s work together to build on our successes and embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We have no choice because “We are each angels with only one wing, and we can only fly when we embrace each other.”
新年贺词
祝贺圣诞，新年快乐！
过去的一年，是陕西译协果实累累、不断进取、点燃希望的一年。诸位发扬陕西译协“学习、服务、推出新人”的办会精神，为沟通不同民族、不同文化的共同目标，继往开来，在各自的工作岗位上，辛勤地从事着教学、培训、口译和笔译工作。
过去的一年，是陕西译协历史上又一个里程碑。我们成功地召开了第六次代表大会，举办了“车轮上的”国际学术研讨会，承担了三个国际会议的同声传译任务，重新组建了好几个学术委员会，出版了一批会员的翻译作品，等等。
在传统的圣诞节前夕，在中国“红色圣诞”前夕，在新年到来之际，我谨向在座的诸位表示热烈的祝贺，祝贺大家在2007年所取得的成就！我向诸位同事表示诚挚的感谢，感谢大家为陕西译协所做的一切！
人人期望新年带来平安，带来幸福，带来兴旺发达。新年带不来幸福，也带不来痛苦。昨天与今天一摸一样，明天与今天也不会有什么区别。人们度过的每一天都是一样的，然而每一个人的经历却大相径庭，有人快乐，有人痛苦，其原因皆取决于各人所采取的行动。
陕西译协是一个精神家园，这里存在着实际意义上的自由、平等、民主、相互尊重、相互帮助、相互理解和相互包容。为了成功，让我们携起手来，共同面对挑战，拥抱机遇。我们只能这样，别无选择，因为“我们都是只有一只翅膀的天使，我们只有相互拥抱，才能一起飞翔”！
