The Sino-American Society (SAS), a non-governmental and non-profit organization with the goal of improving relations and building lasting friendship among people, wishes to give you the opportunity to not only travel between China and the United States, but to experience the real life and the spirit of the country.  Immersion programs are the perfect way to live like a true member of the community and to fully integrate into a new culture.  We have two exciting options, teaching or volunteering, so we are sure to have an option to meet your needs.   This is your chance to get inside the country, become involved in the lives of the people and make lifelong friends.

Bridge The Divide Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation under the US federal tax code, www.BridgeTheDivideFoundation.com.   It was founded in 2006 for the purpose of advancing educational opportunities for rural and economically disadvantaged youth.  Its founder, John Metelski, has participated in numerous volunteer teaching programs in China with his 13 year old son and in 2008 hosted Chinese university students to US schools to teach Chinese language and customs.  Finding a desire on behalf of US primary, secondary, high schools and colleges to “bridge the divide” between the new China and America in language and culture in the classroom, he began this Exchange Program partnering with the Sino American Society who had been his host during his volunteer experiences in China.
